SON MARROIG

Archduke Luis Salvador

Archduke Luis Salvador von Habsburg-Lothringen was 20 years old when he first arrived in Mallorca .

His residence "Son Marroig" (on the north west coast) which is outside Deya, is surrounded by beautiful gardens.

He built a series of houses on the island.

Today "Son Marroig" is a museum.

In the gardens is a white marble rotunda. The marble was imported from Italy.

From there you can view the 'Na Foradada 'peninsula..

The garden and views are quite magnificent.

A real sense of history in the museum including a portrait of

Empress Elizabeth (Sissi) in the Grand Hall.
