A tres bientot,

Anne: my name is Judy Hughes (now Leech). My sister and I went to La
Chassotte from 1950 to 1952. I was 10, my sister Mary was 12.
We were talking about La Chassotte the other day, trying to remember how we
got from school to the train station to go home on the week-ends (our
parents lived in Bern). Today, I think I remembered: by city bus
accompanied by one of the older girls.
Anyway, for fun, not thinking it possible there was anything about La
Chassotte, but what the heck, try, I found your Webb site. Bravo!
Our stay at LaChassotte was fairly brief, so we don't have the attachment
that some would who went through school there, but there are many memories,
and curiosity about those we knew.
Good luck on your reunion.

Dear Anne

I was so happy to discover your sight by accident while researching to open my own school of Middle Eastern Studies.

I attended La Chassotte between '79 and 83' while Soeur Claire was in charge.

My years at La Chassotte were so memorable. I had so much fun there that I forgot to study!

I miss "Le fumoir" where I use to sneak every day and most of all I miss all the ski excursions.
I kept in touch with a few of my friends like Martine Banna, Doris Abbiad, Marie Isabelle D'Autriche (Whom I lost contact with again)

and Elmarie Brown(Oliver), whom I ran into on 3rd Avenue in New York City( I also lost contact with her after my move to Florida) .

I also ran into Maria Teresa de Mata, also in New York City in 1993.

After la chassotte, I moved to Florida and graduated in marketing and Interior Design.

Then while visiting New York I met my husband and lived in New York for 9 years and back to Florida again because I couldn't bare the cold weather!!

I am currently raising my two little girls, Hannady 6 and Tala 4.
I wonder what became of Mlle Rey, Mlle Chesnes, Soeur Lorenza, Pere Formet, Mlle Schmidt, Les Spies Sisters, Adelaid, and everybody else.

Thank you Anne for giving us the opportunity to reunite and hope to hear from everyone soon.

Marie-Mathilde Sauthier, Mary-Jo Calderon, Caroline Berthet (aujourd'hui décédée).

Anne,

Such a pleasant surprise to hear from les Anciennes de La Chassotte. I am
Bella Endeshaw, nee Hawariat. I was a boarding from 1965 -1967. I remember
Frederique Chamoz, and in reading her message, I could just picture her, her
charm and humour. I also remember Teresa Giovannini, and would like to get
in touch with her. Also Anne Julienne, nee Lyons, always so helpful, someone
you can not forget. Anne, you had the look of the sixties, like Francoise
Hardy. Mary Finnigan now lives in the USA, where I was living for the past
25 years raising two children. I have contacted Amalia, who remembered me
in her message. Honey (Panorchand) has sent my picture with her and Sugar
in her photo album, the picture brought back memories. I also would like to
get in touch with Dagmar and Christain Diez with whom I spoke German.
Isabel Darbellay, who was like a sister to me, since I can say, we had
family connection. Isabel contacte moi stp, je suis Koutchou. To end I
would like to say that when I lived in Haiti I met Marie Carmel Saliba and
Marie Carmel Fourcand after 25 years, what a reunion it was. We had a lot of
catching up to do. For those of you who want to know, I now live in
Kingston, Jamaica working for an international organization. I was so
pleased to hear from Sister Cecilia, whom I remember vividly.

Anne great job, love Bella

Dear Anne,

I attended La Chassotte from 1971 to 72 and had a
wonderful time. As a diplomatic brat I had spent all
my life in schools with local children who viewed me
as a rather strange specimen who spoke more than one
language. At La Chassotte I found many kids who were
strange specimens like myself and I thrived. It was
intended for me to do the rest of my schooling there,
but my father died in 72 and I had to leave. I have
wonderful memories!

I became a diplomat in 1982 and served at the Mexican
Embassy in Dakar, Senegal and at the Mexican Consulate
in Philadephia, USA. Now I am an artist living and
working in Philadelphia. I have been married for 18
years but I still go by my maiden name.

I would very much like to find Denise de la Ossa, from
Panama. She was my best friend and would like to get
back in touch with her.

Whatever happened to Sister Clair? And Soeur Filomene?

Thank you so much providing this opportunity.

Chere Anne,

mon amie, Panorchand Manprasert (Honey). Je suis egalement une ancienne du
pensionnat....
J'aurais bien aime pouvoir contacter: Christiane
Diez, Sedef Ilkan, Marine de Freminville. Anyone knows their whereabouts?!
Je n'ai pu me
joindre au "Farewelle Party" avant le depart des meres de La Chassotte;

domicile :(662) 279-1454

A la prochaine! Truchai

Hello

While surfing on the internet, I found you site. I was at
La Chassote in the 70's. I did all my classes there.
I remember very well Soeur Claire, Soeur Dolores and the
others.
classes. It's after all not such a long time!
I'm still
living in Switzerland, at the moment not very far from
Fribourg, but I lived almost 10 years in Zurich.

at la Chassotte from 1974 to 1981 if I remember correctly.

Hi!
I'm Panorchand Malakul (ne Manprasert) and I spent my days at La Chassotte in 1963-1967 (yes, so many many years back).

I was so thrilled when my sister, Pimchand who now lives in the States, told me of your site and I checked it out right away.

Congratulations on your good job! I even found out that someone is looking for two sisters from Thailand.

Can you pass on my e-mail address to that person so that we can get in touch?

I have no idea who she is but she must be someone who must have known us back then.
There's one Ann I can think of at this very moment and it's Ann Lyons, I think that she's British and had long hair.

I recall that she was quite nice and very helpful to new students.

I looked at your La Chassotte old picture and could recognise a few faces but not the names!

This is exciting to be able to trace our old friends, isn't it?

What you're doing with this web site must be quite fun and rewarding when you get response from old students.

Pls tell me more about yourself, your school years and any old names that you can think of.

I'll write back soon again. Thanks again for the wonderful site.

Keep up the great work!

and if the money comes along, tant mieux, it is always un p'tit bonus, en +.
