How It All Began
My journey started way back growing up in East Africa. But
it wasn't Aromatherapy then.
It began with my parents who had friends from the Asian
community who I give thanks to for introducing me to the aromas
that surrounded them. Coconut oils, rosewater (I used to help
make indian sweets) which I highly recommend. Incense burning
round every corner. As a child I was facinated.
As for my love of candles it started during my school days
spent at 'La Chassotte', (a pensionnat I attended in Switzerland).
I can still see the candles burning brightly in the school chapel;
seeing the pupils parade through the school on special feast days
holding them; watching them flicker and the warmth they gave.
You see, I had never before seen candles, we never had them in
our home in Africa so this was a new experience for me. Nor had
I ever seen snow, but this is another story! I have candles burning
in my home and I'm sure that most of you do as well, they are
very welcoming and the Aromatherapy ones give a wonderful aroma
throughout.
Then later on in life I decided to take myself off to college
and study Aromatherapy.
Finally I started making my own beauty care products. At
first just for myself, then my daughter and then her friends.
